Ursuline's sponsored scavenger hunt!!!!

Ursuline Catholic Primary School in Blundellsands recently raised £1000 for CAFOD’S East Africa appeal and presented the cheque at their Harvest Celebration on Friday 14th October 2011. Margaret McParland accepted the cheque on behalf of CAFOD from Mr
Mark McQueen, the Headteacher. The children from Year 2 led the Harvest Celebration for pupils and parents of the school. In excess of 60 food parcels were collected and donated to the ‘Bosco Project’ in Bootle for those in need. The children also organised a SPONSORED SCAVENGER HUNT which all the children in the school took part in – hunting for 30 small everyday items e.g.a piece of string, shells, safety pins etc.

This was thoroughly enjoyed by the pupils and helped to raise the magnificent sum of £1000 for the East Africa Appeal.

Many, many thanks!
