Crosby Symphony Orchestra Overture for Charity !

Chris Nick and CAFOD Chq 30 6 2013

Many thanks to Nick Fennell CAFOD’s Parish Contact of St Bernadette’s  (pictured here with Chris Lappine) at  the Philharmonic Hall on Sunday 30th June.  The Crosby Symphony Orchestra was celebrating their 70th season of music-making and Robert Sells’ 30th Season and Musical Director of the CSO.

The members of Crosby Symphony Orchestra are all amateur musicians and come from diverse backgrounds.  There is a broad age-range but everyone shares the same enthusiasm for playing and performing orchestral music to a high standard and being part of this special team.

The Orchestra helps raise much need funds for all their partner charities and below is a list of their upcoming events

The final piece of the all Russian programme was the Festival Overture “The Year 1812” Tchaikovsky:   If you need any reminder ……..

                    “Du-duh-du-duh-duh-duh-duh-du-duh-duh

                                           CANNON EXPLOSION! “

Over a century after it was written it brought the house down !             A wonderful afternoon’s entertainment !!
