On Friday 20th September Francesca Griffiths married Jonathan Paul at St Anne’s Church in Ormskirk. Their nuptial mass was concelebrated by Fr Godric Timney OSB and Fr Boniface Moran OSB. The bride’s dad David sang The Psalm ‘On Eagle’s Wings’ superbly. The groom Jon, a Welshman, had the support of The Brymbo Male Voice Choir from Wrexham who ended the service with a resounding rendition of Jerusalem. The reception was held at the Lancashire Manor Hotel and a book was opened on how long the best man’s speech would last. Everyone had a wager of just £1. The money was to be split between the winner and CAFOD. The bride’s cousin Liz Nolan won and donated her share back to CAFOD. The bride’s mum Lynne doubled it. The organist Andrew also donated his fee from the wedding to CAFOD! Altogether £210 was raised for CAFOD’s Syria Appeal. Many thanks to you all!
We wish Fran and Jon a lifetime of happiness !!
