Thank you to everyone in Liverpool Archdiocese who has so far responded with compassion and generosity for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan. The response has been tremendous, but there is still a great deal more to be done. Parishes and schools throughout the diocese are holding collections to support the efforts of CAFOD and other charities as they respond to this emergency.
Many appeal resources have already been made available to help you organise your own collections, and the list is being constantly updated. For CAFOD’s most up to date resources on the crisis, visit cafod.org.uk/typhoon.
Among the resources available are Gift Aid envelopes which can be ordered by calling 020 7095 5682, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If time is short, you can download Gift Aid declaration forms by clicking here. Please also download and print off this donation coupon to send in with the proceeds from your collections.
There are many other ways you can help, such as using this poster to promote the appeal in your parish or school or making a donation over the phone by calling 0500 85 88 85.
Please also remember everyone affected by the typhoon in your prayers. Click the link to download a special prayer for the people of the Philippines, and find more prayers and graces at cafod.org.uk/pray. You can share your own thoughts and prayers with others on the CAFOD Grace Wall.
Thank you for your generosity.
