You don’t get anything for a pair – not in this game!

There will be a social afternoon at St Michael’s Irish Centre (6 Boundary Lane, Everton, Liverpool, L6 5JG) in aid of CAFOD’s Philippines Typhoon Haiyan Appeal on Sunday 6th April 2014 at 2pm. There will be entertainment from Mossy & Patsys Irish Disco show, Comhaltas musicians and dancers from the Bolger-Cunningham school of dancing. There will also be an auction, a raffle, bingo and even ‘play your cards right.’ So you can even channel your inner Bruce Forsyth.  Tickets are only £5-no higher or lower (get it?). Donations for the auction & bring & buy table would be most welcome.

One of the many items up for grabs in the auction is a 29 piece Myott Rielto China Dinner Set kindly donated from a local CAFOD supporter and it sailed here from Ireland. Here’s a sneak peak of some of the set:

If this floats your gravy boat, then come along on the day and bid. As you can see from here, there are not many left and they are all quite pricey so come on the 6th and snap up a bargain.

Please could you advertise the event in your parish or workplace. You can download a copy of the poster here:

We would love to see you there-the more the merrier!
