Sacred Heart Chq 2,200

Chris Lappine visited Sacred Heart Crosby today to collect a huge cheque for £2,200 collected during Lent by the whole school.  The generous students carried out a number of fundraising activities.Years 7 and 8 collected coins for CAFOD and had a competition to see  who could make the longest line. Classes became very competitive as they managed to cover the length of the playground five times. The distance of their coins, when added together, came to seven times that of the Radio City Tower. Other year groups also had cake sales and rich man poor man meals.

Before Chris received the cheque, she talked to students about CAFOD’s work in São Paulo and the inspirational women she knows who work tirelessly for social justice and decent housing for all.
