A fond farewell

Last night, over 50 CAFOD supporters, volunteers, chaplains, CAFOD groups, priests, teachers, chaplains, CAFOD staff and youth groups all came along to the Eldonian Village for a night to remember. It was a combination of a ceilida, barn dancing and singing. Music was kindly provided by Kevin Bargen and his friend Joe who were brilliant hosts. It was also a chance for us to say a fond farewell to James who is leaving CAFOD after a wonderful five years and 3 months. Thanks again to everyone who came-it really was a fantastic night! 🙂

  1. Hi Chris
I enjoyed last night at the Eldonian Club for James’s Party – please pass on to your future organisers details of my other group The Liverpool Shanty Kings, we sing shanties, Irish and Liverpool folk songs – we’ve been everywhere and will always help if free.

We were in Warrington a few weeks ago, Lytham St Annes and Wigan last week and are singing at the Harris Museum Preston this coming Saturday. Joe who was with me last night is not part of this group.

    Best Wishes
