The annual CAFOD Carol service took place last night on December 18th 2014 at St Teresa’s Upholland. Over 1000 people came.

The guest speaker was John Darley (one of CAFOD’s Trustees) who spoke about his recent trip to Brazil to visit CAFOD’s partners working there.

Music was provided by St John Rigby Sixth Form College, St John Fisher High School, Our Lady’s Queen of Peace High School, St Edmund Arrowsmith High School, St Mary & St John’s Catholic Primary School and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary school.

During the service, the students performed a wonderful new piece composed by James Gresty and arranged by David Wall especially for the Carol service called ‘Everlasting Peace.’

Afterwards there was also a chance to munch on some scrumptious mince pies provided kindly by Catherine Greaves.

A gigantic THANK YOU to everyone who made the night such a success including James Gresty, Mark Lane, James Hodgson, Martin Malone, David Wall, Angela Bryant, Candice McArdle, Paul Masheder, Louise Alvarado, Andy Longden, Cecilia Rigby, Victoria Hitchen, Pauline Hurst, Fr Tony Slingo, Catherine Greaves, Pat Boyle, Peter and Eileen Holland.

We wish you all a very merry Christmas-we hope that it brings you lots of blessings!
