CAFOD Liverpool Memorial Mass

CAFOD Liverpool staff Colette Byrne and Ged Edwards write about the forthcoming Memorial Mass for deceased supporters of CAFOD:

November is the month of remembrance when we take the time to remember all those who have died, especially loved ones who made a deep and lasting impression on our lives.

Over the years, CAFOD has been enormously blessed by the kindness and commitment of our supporters, but sadly many of the people who have been at the heart of our work are no longer with us.  As a small token of its appreciation for their compassion and dedication, CAFOD will be holding a Memorial Mass at Ss Peter and Paul Church, Liverpool Rd, Liverpool, Merseyside L23 5TE on Saturday 14th November at 12 noon to pay tribute to them.

CAFOD supporter Teresa Cade commemorates her dad David through a Candlelight Fund with her family: “Dad’s Catholic faith and support of CAFOD were a big part of his life. It’s not often, between hectic family life and work, that I get to think just of him. Being at Mass and in particular at a remembrance service is a perfect way for me to remember and pay tribute to my wonderful Dad.”

All are welcome to join, whether to remember fellow CAFOD supporters or members of their own family, friends and community who’ve passed away. Ged Edwards, CAFOD Coordinator said, “At our Memorial Mass you can take precious time to remember your loved ones, knowing that you’re among friends.” There will be tea and coffee available afterwards.

Book of Remembrance

A book of remembrance with the names of supporters who have passed away will be presented at Mass.  If you would like to add a name to this list, just get in touch with Susanna at or by calling 020 7095 5370, or with Ged at CAFOD Liverpool on 0151 228 4028,
