Power to the People: meet our partner!

CAFOD Liverpool is hosting a spTakura Gwatinyanya from CAFOD partner Caritas Harare in Zimbabweecial Meet our Partner event on Sunday afternoon 1.30 – 4.15pm at St Anne’s Parish Centre, 23 Prescot Rd, Ormskirk L39 4TG.  The event, called Power to the People, is a fantastic opportunity to find out the difference we are all making overseas through our support for CAFOD.  There will be an (optional) Sunday Mass at St Anne’s at 4.30pm.

You will meet Takura Gwatinyanya who will talk about his work with projects for Caritas Harare in Zimbabwe and, with CAFOD’s Campaigns Coordinator, Maria Elena Arana, they will show the effects Climate Change is having overseas and what practical steps we can take to press here for lasting and vital improvements.  Fr Mike Fitzsimons will also reflect on the Paris Climate Change Agreement nine months after his Pilgrimage there.

Please can you come to the event, bring a friend – and ask others to do the same? Here is a Power to the People Event St Annes Ormskirk July 10 poster.  Please can you display this in your Church or school?  Thanks!
